There is a huge launch sale that ends today and then a smaller Black Friday sale that will last through next week.Medium recently rolled out some HUGE changes, so this month I wanted to provide insight into how that’s impacted publications.
- We’ve seen a significant increase in traffic coming from Medium: 18.9% increase in inbound traffic from the medium domain
- Readers spend more time reading: An increase from 2.8million minutes to 3.1million minutes per month
- Stories trend on Medium for longer: it was previously ~3–5 days and it has now increased to 1 week+ for many of the top posts
- Overall, great stories are being discovered more easily and are read longer
Level Up Coding even had the first #1 story on Medium right after they released the update! (enjoy those cheese sticks Sanjeet Chatterjee 😉). This resulted in 59k total article views.
