You’ve probably heard about ChatGPT.

It’s a new AI-powered chatbot developed by OpenAI, the same company behind GPT-3, DALL.E2, and other crazy products.

ChatGPT is out of this world. It’s nothing like the chatbots I’ve ever used before. Its ability to generate detailed and comprehensive answers on various topics is mind-boggling. This tool can, for example, answer technical questions in philosophy, maths, or computer science. It can make small talk, write poetry on machine learning (with rimes!), be funny, or even alter its writing style.

But ChatGPT excels in another area too, and this one is particularly interesting: writing and explaining code.

In this post, I will challenge ChatGPT with some programming questions that cover machine learning and software engineering.
I will ask it to write code snippets and functions that I regularly use in my work to see if it can automate them.

For each question, I will provide ChatGPT’s answer in an interactive GIF as well as the code it produced.

Let’s have a look 👀
