What even IS Programming?!?

“How do you create something out of nothing?!?”. This was the question my brother who works as a hydraulic mechanic asked trying to figure out exactly what I did for a living.

Programming from the outside sounds like black magic or something only a few gifted nerds in a garage are able to comprehend. If you have learned a thing or two about programming then there is less mystery but there is still some aha moments when you make it all work together.
